Ambush Camera Arm System
The Ambush Camera Arm System is unlike anything else on the market. Every component has been designed and built with the serious hunter in mind, from the foundation all the way to the tip of the arm. Here is what sets it apart.
The Base
It all starts with our laser cut 303 stainless steel tree spikes. These are seriously heavy duty, built to last a lifetime, and strong enough that the Ambush base can double as a climbing stick in a pinch. This is the foundation your entire camera rig is going to rest on and we did not cut any corners on it.
The Strap System
No more wrestling with a noisy ratchet strap in the dark. We use a Rollercam cam buckle system that is lightweight, incredibly fast to use, and virtually silent. Getting set up quietly is half the battle and this system makes it easy.
The Leveling Head and Carriage System
The leveling head sits on a carriage system that allows it to raise, lower, and fold completely out of the way when not in use. This gives you two big advantages. First it keeps the base slim and packable for the pack in. Second it gives you a built in height adjustment feature that is a genuine advantage once you are in the tree.
Choose Your Arm
We offer three arm options so you can build the system that fits your specific setup and camera rig.
Xtralite Arm: Our lightest and most minimalistic arm. It gets the job done extremely well and is the best choice if maximum packability is your priority or if you are running a camera rig 8 lbs and under. Kit Weight: 3.6lbs
Standard OG Arm: This is the same arm used across all of our shooting rest systems, which tells you everything you need to know about how beefy it is. This is our go to recommendation for heavier camera rigs up to 10 lbs. Need to go over 10 lbs? Send us a message and we can remove the leveling head, allowing the system to handle rigs up to 20 lbs. Just keep in mind that without the leveling head you will want to make sure your trees are relatively level before committing to that configuration. Kit Weight 5lbs
Xtend Arm: Our newest arm and a game changer for hunters who want the fastest possible setup. The Xtend connects to the base via magnets, so you can attach everything to the tree at once and skip the digging through your pack to assemble it. It also features a telescoping design that lets you extend the arm out to extreme lengths or bring it in tight depending on your situation and shooting lane. Max weight load at full extension 7.5lbs. Kit Weight: 4.8lbs
