WARNING: READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS AND SAFETY INFORMATION BEFORE USING ANY XTRAARM PRODUCT.
XtraArm products are intended to provide support, positioning, and mounting assistance for firearms, crossbows, cameras, optics, and related equipment when used properly and for their intended purpose. The use of firearms, crossbows, elevated hunting equipment, vehicles, and mounted equipment involves inherent risks that may result in serious injury, death, or property damage.
By purchasing, installing, or using an XtraArm product, the user acknowledges these risks and accepts responsibility for the safe installation, inspection, operation, and use of the product.
Firearm and Crossbow Safety
Always follow all universally accepted firearm and crossbow safety practices.
Always treat every firearm as if it is loaded.
Always keep the muzzle pointed in a safe direction.
Always keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to fire.
Always positively identify your target and what is beyond it.
Firearms and crossbows should be unloaded and made safe whenever installing, adjusting, attaching, removing, or servicing an XtraArm product.
An XtraArm shooting rest is a support device only. It does not replace proper firearm handling, safe shooting practices, or the shooter's responsibility to maintain complete control of the firearm at all times.
Never rely on an XtraArm product to prevent a firearm or crossbow from falling, discharging, or moving unexpectedly.
Installation and Inspection
The user is solely responsible for ensuring that all mounts, clamps, straps, fasteners, handles, adapters, suction cups, magnets, ball heads, attachments, and other components are properly installed, tightened, and secured before use.
Before every use:
- Inspect the complete system for damage, wear, loose hardware, cracks, deformation, corrosion, damaged straps, compromised suction cups, or other conditions that could affect safe operation.
- Confirm that every attachment point is secure.
- Verify that the mounting surface is strong, stable, clean, and appropriate for the product being used.
- Confirm that the mounted equipment does not exceed the applicable weight or load rating.
- Recheck all mounting points periodically during use.
Immediately discontinue use if any component appears damaged, worn, loose, unstable, or otherwise unsafe.
Never use damaged or modified components.
Elevated Hunting and Treestand Use
XtraArm products are not fall-arrest devices, climbing aids, steps, handholds, safety rails, or personal-support devices.
Never place body weight on an XtraArm product or use it to support yourself while entering, exiting, climbing, or occupying a treestand, saddle, ladder stand, elevated blind, or other elevated position.
Always use an appropriate fall-arrest system and follow the safety instructions provided by the manufacturer of your treestand, saddle, climbing system, or other elevated hunting equipment.
Never allow an XtraArm installation to interfere with your safety harness, tether, lineman's belt, climbing equipment, or emergency exit.
Vehicle, ATV, UTV, and Truck-Mounted Products
Unless a product is specifically designed and expressly approved for use while a vehicle is moving, XtraArm products and mounted firearms, crossbows, cameras, or other equipment should only be used while the vehicle is safely stopped, secured, and parked.
Never operate a firearm or crossbow from a vehicle where prohibited by law.
Never allow an installed XtraArm product to interfere with:
- Steering
- Vehicle controls
- Driver visibility
- Airbags
- Seat belts
- Doors
- Mirrors
- Occupant movement
- Emergency exits
- Safe vehicle operation
Remove or secure equipment before driving whenever movement, vibration, impact, wind load, road conditions, or other forces could cause the mounted equipment or XtraArm system to loosen, shift, detach, or create a hazard.
Vehicle-mounted products should be inspected after travel and before each use.
Suction Cup and Magnetic Mounts
Suction cups and magnetic mounting systems depend on the condition, cleanliness, shape, material, finish, and strength of the mounting surface.
Always verify secure attachment before placing equipment into the mount.
Never assume that a suction cup or magnetic mount will remain attached indefinitely.
Environmental conditions including dirt, dust, water, moisture, temperature changes, vibration, surface coatings, paint condition, and prolonged use can reduce holding strength.
Never use suction or magnetic mounting systems where an unexpected release could cause personal injury, firearm discharge, property damage, or loss of equipment.
Weight Limits and Equipment Compatibility
Do not exceed any published weight, payload, or operating limits for the XtraArm product or any component used with it.
When multiple components are used together, the maximum safe load is determined by the lowest-rated component in the entire system.
The user is responsible for confirming compatibility between XtraArm products and any third-party firearm, crossbow, camera, optic, tripod, ball head, mounting system, vehicle, treestand, or accessory.
XtraArm does not control the design, condition, strength, installation, or performance of third-party equipment.
Modification and Misuse
Do not drill, grind, weld, bend, machine, alter, modify, or otherwise change an XtraArm product unless specifically authorized in writing by XtraArm.
Use of an XtraArm product in a manner inconsistent with its instructions, intended purpose, published limitations, or warnings may result in product failure, equipment damage, serious injury, or death.
Environmental Conditions
Use additional caution during rain, snow, ice, freezing temperatures, extreme heat, high winds, mud, dust, or other adverse conditions.
Environmental conditions can affect grip, hardware, mounting surfaces, straps, suction cups, moving components, and overall system stability.
Laws and Regulations
The user is responsible for knowing and complying with all federal, state, provincial, local, and other applicable laws and regulations concerning firearms, crossbows, hunting, shooting, vehicle use, transportation of firearms, and the use of mounted shooting equipment.
Assumption of Risk
The purchaser and user understand that hunting, shooting, firearm handling, crossbow use, elevated hunting, vehicle use, and outdoor activities involve inherent and potentially serious risks.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the purchaser and user voluntarily assume all risks associated with the installation and use of XtraArm products, including risks arising from improper installation, improper use, failure to inspect equipment, environmental conditions, third-party equipment, and failure to follow instructions or warnings.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, XtraArm shall not be responsible for injuries, death, property damage, equipment damage, consequential damages, incidental damages, or other losses resulting from misuse, improper installation, unauthorized modification, failure to follow instructions or warnings, use of incompatible equipment, exceeding published limitations, or other use outside the product's intended purpose.
Nothing in this disclaimer is intended to exclude or limit any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.
User Responsibility
Ultimately, the safe use of any XtraArm product depends on the judgment and actions of the user.
If you are unsure whether an installation or use is safe, do not use the product until the installation and intended use have been confirmed to be safe.
STOP USE IMMEDIATELY if any part of the system becomes loose, damaged, unstable, or behaves unexpectedly.
